The National Council of Contractors Association (NCCA) is a non-profit organization developed to address the disparity issues facing small, minority and women contractors seeking to gain access to public works construction projects. The NCCA approach is a non traditional, race neutral, pro-active alternative to traditional affirmative action programs.
The National Council of Contractors Association (NCCA) is dedicated to creating "pathways of opportunity" for small, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises. NCCA is helping resolve disparity issues in the awarding of public and private construction contracts, opening the way for small contractors to compete based on their own abilities and merits.
NCCA provides real results for public and private organizations and General Contractors (GC) who are serious about increasing small, women and minority (M/WBE) contractors' participation on public and private construction projects.
The difference between NCCA and other economic development programs is that NCCA builds capacity within the local communities by increasing the number of contractors qualified to bid on available city, state and private construction projects an by increasing the amount of bonding that existing contractors can obtain. The only way to permanently impact the disparity issue and increase small contractor participation in the community construction bidding process is to increase the number of contractors qualified to compete on their own.
